Default Tradition

what are some behaviors, customs, and traditions distinct to different nigerian groups?
i know yoruba dobale, but igbo's dont. do others

i heard igbo women shave head when hubby dies, and have to say in the house with the body for 10 days... is that BS? cuz it sounds untrue. well the say in the house part sounds false.

i know a fulani girl who when she goes to see her uncle who is a year older than her, she kneels and looks to the ground. we went to his job at the campus library, and she just did that. i was confused... is that a fulani hausa costom?

clarify for me... and give me more!!!

and it hit me today sha...like for reals.....the only person that should ever consume those kind of thoughts is God, i mean come now u think of it....he is the one that wakes u up in the morning.....guides you safely through the night....u leave ur door in the morning and u come back at night in one piece....shoo i should be worrying about Gods mercy instead...thanking him...doing all that i can to ensure his love.....looking beautiful for him(the most beautiful are those who are devout in worship to God)
like seriously when i thought about it that way its like what is a XY gonna do for me...he cant even guarantee my every breath...dont get me wrong o..this aint man bashing....but for reals it really redirects priority sha...but we are not all perfect...we are human thus inherently flawed all we can do is try to be the best we can be sha...

I can speak to the igbo custom. Yes, an igbo wife is required to cut her hair and wear sack-cloth when her husband dies at a young age... however, I haven't heard of a tradition where she is required to stay with the corpse.

Ibo women have to shave their hair and wear "mourning" clothes. They don't socialize during that time. In my village, the women come and sit with the widow in a little room and folks come and pay respects to her. I've never heard of sitting with the corpse sha
