for me it depends on the style and only on the style. nothing too casual. gotta dress it up as much as possible. and fabulous shoes!

i wore ankara to a wedding before - a slight mermaid /fishtail skirt with off shoulder top and i topped it with a tan straw hat that had feathers the color of the ankara . I liked the combo and thought the hat dressed up the outfit a bit.

Well my friend in Naija suggested that my bridesmaids & co should wear ankara for my engagement in Naija but then another one said they are more popular with Funerals in Naija. I guess it depends on you jare.
