Who or what inspires your best looks?

Why do you do all that you do to look great? Besides pleasing yourself, ofcourse, who or what is the inspiration behind your best looks?

- I love Kelis. She's so free with her look. I'm not that adventurous, but she definitely inspires me to push the envelope a bit, and try bolder looks.

- Impressing other girls lol Let's be real, guys can barely tell yellow from red, let alone what's popping and what ain't. Aside from my opinon (and my mirror!), getting love from another female on my look is one of the best affirmations.

- My mommy! My mom's a babe. If she likes it, I know I'm good to go.

- Shoes! Just seeing some gawjuss footwear is enough for me to go shopping for THE perfect outfit to match.

- When I was little, I wanted to be a model. I had it in my head that all the best models were found just roaming the streets and getting discovered by accident. So I'd always get my model walk on in public lol and discreetly strike poses juuuust in case my future manager was watching

lol Anyway, I don't do that anymore, but once in a while it'll creep up. I'll find myself checking out my posture in a window and making sure everything's on point.. juuuuust in case

Please, walking around NYC is one big fashion show. I get my tips from the women on the street. Some of them are too trendy for me but I just ignore those. I get tips from all over the place. I don't get tips from celebrities though. I don't have cable, hardly ever see 'em

people at my uni give me inspiration...

i dont look at no celebrity, was d point, no1 can afford the ish they wearin an no1 wants to get cheap replicas neither coz dey nefa look as good.

People magazine! damn i love that mag, i buy it to get ideas on putting ish together. I like style network also , just for entertainment...if i watch tv at all it's gonna be either cnn or style network. I dey also get inspiration from the store aisles , anything wey fine go inspire me to get something that coordinates it. The biggest influence of all na my childhood, i have ideas of looks that i liked since childhood and when i see something that fits the look i go for it ....kanye west kinda reminds me of something like that , he dresses like someone that has ideas from another time.
