Dark or Light skinned? What is your choice?

Does the shade of your skin color matter? If a dark and light skinned female/male walked into the room at the same time, who would most likely be the one you would take interest in? Why? What is so sexy about being dark or light skinned? Let me know somethin. Peace.

my friends were trying to ask me the same thing, they said if Lauryn Hill and Beyonce walked into the room, who would i notice and holla at first? i said both

i prefer brown to dark brown skin. if a dark-skinned guy anda light-skinned guy walked into a room, hmm.....i guess id notice the.......pshh i dont know.

no lie, you will notice beyonce first...at least if not for her skin color, but her presence. I think she has more of a presence than Lauryn Hill does.

The question then becomes, what is attributed in her presence that would make me think beyonce will be more noticeable. Could it be her skin color or her style....I think it is her style. They have varying styles and whatever else that goes into someone's presence.

youre right, i should have used this as an argument, they kept arguing me down saying i would notice beyonce first because she is light skin.

You're stating an opinion that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone....
I beg to differ...I think Lauryn Hill's style and presence is MUCH GREATER than Beyonce Knowles....

Lauryn Hill can really SING....she can rap...she's a poet...she takes political stands in her work, she sings and writes about LIFE, she's natural - hardly any makeup, she seemingly exudes strong femininity with healthy independence.
Beyonce is 100% pop superstar, "I-think-I'm-all-that", can't sing that well, highlights in the hair, made-up all the time, work-out-to-maintain-a-not-so-great-figure type girl....

When the two of them walk in the room my full attention would be on Lauryn Hill and maybe, just maybe my ears would hear the extra clicking of heels from Beyonce somewhere in the room....

Who cares about dark skin and light skin....
Men who would notice the light skinned first are usually African-American men who have been conditioned over time by the media, societal conditions, and the slave days to think of the white woman as a "trophy" of sorts. Thus they want the best of both worlds by having a black woman with African-American personality traits that can understand them, but also a black woman with LIGHT-SKIN that more closely resembles physically the white woman....

Give me any skin color...as long as she is beautiful and has a good head on her shoulders we can make something happen.

we both have different minds, thoughts and what we admire..lets not forget you are male and I am female and standards of how we see things may differ based on gender as well.

But good observation though...still doesnt change my opinion(which I haven't fully expressed).

Not neccessarily true, its done in plenty countries in Africa and other countries as well. All those boyz in naija would holla at those yellow girls, even if they were hidious... But just b/c they were yellow they got all the attention...

People use to think all I wanted was yellow girls, when in fact it didn't matter to me. It was nothing but light skinned girls that would holla at me...
