how long do you keep braids ?

whats the longest time you kept it for? any regrets?
how long should one keep it for?

does braids actually help hair grow like most... say?

like there are so braids done with extensions that never fades so you go as long as you want.

i think keepin 'em too long gives the reverse effect...hair loss

well wen i used to do em... d longest.. 4wks.. wont carry d same hairstyle for more than 4wks..esp. "braids"

I went to Naija and got those teeny weeny braids & I kept them in for like 21/2 months.

so true , that's what happened to me when i left my braids for 2 months. My hair was so thin and malnourished looking

i used to pray and take vitamins everyday, massage my scalp and deep condition weekly for it to recover. Can't leave braids for over a month anymore , i don't think yankee weather helps either.

Usually about 5 weeks,six weeks max.The one thing I know about braids is that using products made in Zambia and all these centrall african countries helps.When ever I have braids on,I use a product called Vitafro,my hair never breacks when I take them off,and I have braids on every 2 and 1/2 months.

The other trick is to boil dagga,and leave it to cool off,then mix it with your hair spray,that helps with texture,hair growth and volume.But you have to wash your hair minimum twice a week,it tends to smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

u know in America you cannot access dagga ( marijuana) so easily. i know it help ur hair though, cos the Niger republic women use it, & they tend to have beautiful hair!

3 to 4 weeks
I am a hairstyle whore, always itching to do the next style. I am always in braids all year round except when I retouch it or do weave. I rarely do weave unless for a few weeks or so.
