Default Hair Oil

I have serious dry scalp. I thought it was dandruff but my hairdresser informed me otherwise.

She recommended a light hair lotion that is not greasy like Optimum light. I will be buying that tonight.

She also said that Lester's Pink Oil was not good for my relaxed hair. It is apparently working counter. It is too heavy, blocks my oil glands and causes me to have dry scalp.

I agree with Pink oil, its heavy and weighs the hair down, and it even ends up drying the hair out in long run cause of the mineral oil component.

That comes along with the Organics relaxer I use and I'd definitely recomend it. It doesn't leave my hair feeling very oily the way Pink oil does.

pink oil is not heavy o

i agree it dries out your hair but it is not heavy at all, it depends on the texture of your hair--if your hair is thirsty, rather than moiturzing it, feed the scalp..that promotes healthy hair..

and when you moisturize, blow dry the hair, that ensures even distribution and allows the moiture to set, trust me you'll see the diff. it makes your hair healthy.

I have been using optimum light and so far so good. Smells great, my hair is shiny without being greasy, and no flakes. So thus far, I'm happy. i really wasn't looking for advice so much as i was passing on what i learned to others.

Optimum Light hairdress. it's not expensive and smells decent. i had my sister apply it to my scalp and then took a dab of it and ran it through my hair. Worked for me.
