Ladies

Have you ever considered dying your hair?

If you have, what brand of semi permanent or permanent hair color have you tried and how did it affect your hair (i.e did it make your hair break?)

Since i'm now wearing my hair natural, yesterday i decided that an arburn/brown afro would look fabulous on me. (I stopped by my local Korean beauty store and bought "Rage and React" semi-permanent hair rinse in the color "Sienna"). Anyway, before i actually dye my hair, i want to get your opinions and "hair" (hehehe...get it?....

) about your experiences.

well i dyed my hair to auburn before and it was beautiful but my hair texture was funny. The hair started coming out in lumps after a while even though the hair still had a lot of body , at the end of the day i ended up cutting it all off. It looked good but messed up my hair texture.

i used the cheap dark and lovely dye and my hairdresser was telling me that the dye was breaking my hair so if anything i suggest you get professional advice luv

try highlights. I colored my hair strawberry blond, it was pretty, but it feels very coarse. so i would say seek professional advice!

er...i dont know what i used anymore. tsbeen a year now

i used some shade of red, den some shade of lavender...and u c wat it looks like now...

get pro advice

it'll b more expensive but its more reliable

and if u dont want chems in ure hair...find out about natural dye

henna will not only color ur hair, but it will make it grow like mad...... my midlde eastern friends swear by this.... it makes it lighter... like brownish to reddish depending on how long u leaveit on.. but the henna has to be dried completely in ur hair for max. effect...... dunno wher eu can get some tho' ... maybe at one of theose indian stores p'r haps?

Used to have semi permanent hair color a few yrs back but errrrr
last month i went permanent.

...i went frum bronze to blonde...had to mix two colors cuz i wantd somn different.. so i had to go bronze first b4 goin frum bronze to blonde. It came out lookn good.. lookn light brown/ orangish.. real nice..

yeh the texture felt kinda funny at first n my hair wuz breakn but its ayt now

i used to colour my hair alot...i`v had brownish/blond (like ciara`s colour) for awhile now...i used L'oreal colour booster or Feria colour bt plz be warned alot of colouring will do your hair real bad and sumtimes with d colour u wanna get u have to colour more than once...nways jus make sure u get alot of professional treatment for your hair afterwards.

wow this is interesting, i'd like to try it but how would u know the shades ??? I found this site

i remember this is what my mom uses. It's called lali in naija , but she has short hair so i don't know if it makes her hair grow or not.It gives it a reddish tint though.

wel afta all these dying hair stories i got a bit scared coz my hair breaks easily an my hair dont grow like oebo ppl so i've decided to get tracts done in ma hair - i duno if u guys no wot dat is but basically lets say u have medium length hair u can get human hair weave an get the hairdresser to bond it in ur hair and it can blend in i am really not explainin it properly but u shud get the jist of wot im sayin i mean one week ur hair can be black an red an the nex week u can change the tracts an it be ...blak and blue!
