Ladies (Those of you with short hair), what made you decide to get a short cut? I'm thinking about cutting my hair down to about an inch or two but i'm scared of the whole process. Why did you decide to cut your hair and are you happy with it?

i felt i was too attractive and i wanted a more natural look so i cut it all off to my scalp to get closer to my true self

My hair needs constant maint. to keep it healthy...as in salon er' two weeks and ish......didn't have the time nor did i feel like spending the money..............so i let my hair grow out for a year and chopped it off in Jan.

i cut my hair abt 4mnths ago buti never cut it to a number two i jst cut it to a short style, i think short hair makes one look more maturer than those with long hair, and also short hair IS easy to maintain, well easier than long hair anyway and it just that one less thing to worry abt, but it depends on what shape face you have got. if you have a circle face do not make your ahir short and if you have got a big face too, dont cut short.

I wanted to start growing dreads so I cut it short to a small afro which I treated with texturizer until it was long enough to twist. I actually liked being with short hair cos it was so easy to maintain.

I was wearing a bald look when i deceided to go natural and it was very easy to maintain .
if someone is condifent in themselves they can wear the shortest there is no matter what.

I've always been so into my hair so when I told ppl i am planning to cut it they weren't too supportive. Anyway i hope i don't lose my balls. lol. I've already gone the first step by growing out my perm...so i think i can do this

When you cut your hair, are you going to perm it, texturize it, dye it or leave it natural?

LOL i'm going natural and ppl aren't supportive either ma mum is like would u be able to maintain it,cos it'll be hard to comb,but imma do it i hope
D last time i was transforming for about 4 months but i chickened out cos it was hard to comb and maintain witout braids,but dis time i think i'll just go ahead and do it

I cut it then texturized it. I paid like 60 bucks to cut and texturize and then like every two weeks I paid 40 bucks to trim and texturize.

U texturized (chemically, i assume) your hair EVERY 2weeks?? why? thot it was like a perm that needs a touch up er' 4-6weeks...abi your hair grows that fast?


I'm thinking of texturizing my hair but that defeats the purpose of going natural..........

I doubt if its exactly like a perm. My natural hair is very coarse and after two weeks it became hard to maintain. When I stopped texturising my hair went back to looking natural so I dont think it alters the hair that much.
